I've just started to watch Handmaid's Tale, it is very good, dark and at times somewhat hard to watch, it does show you some of what women had to live through in a past that is not so long ago. There still are places on this planet where women are treated not much better than in this show, they're very little more than property. If you can stomach it, it's a very good show, acting is pretty good, the score is fitting and moves around a lot from light to sombre. I started watching it thinking I'd be binge watching all 6 seasons like I tend to do with other series but must admit that I have to take breaks from it.
When I started watching this show, I went at it thinking it would be mediocre but it turned out to be quite good. Vera Farmiga as Norma is both delicious and totally toxic, makes for a very complex character which Vera built expertly, she makes the show. The other actors are also very good. Freddie Highmore does an excellent job with his own character, deeply creepy and cold at times and other times seemingly calm and balance but an explosion is always ready to happen. A lot of good actors all and all. Cool thing is part of it was film near where I live and I went to see the site where they built the house replica from Psycho before it was taken apart. This for sure worth the watch.
