Personally I don't get what was so great about this. Maybe it just went over my head. It seemed like the build up to the mystery was very long-winded and when we finally found out what it was, it was explained within 2 minutes. I found the way everyone talked was very odd...like no one talks in proper sentences and they all just know what the other person is implying. Everyone seems very disinterested. I thought it started off pretty interestingly especially when it kept switching from the criminals to the police mid-sentence but my interest faded pretty quickly. I can't help but also remember that the main actor was in Tenet-another movie that was overly confusing!
I was so taken in by the first episode and finished it within 2 days! It is so polished and glamorous which is the gloss of old Hollywood. However beneath the gloss is the real lives of real people each with their own story and heartbreak. I was very moved by some of the scenes where the characters said they couldn't be who they really were.
I was introduced to some new actors but everyone did such a great job. I always love seeing Dylan McDermott and I loved where his character ended up.
The whole feel of this reminded me of Smash and also Why Women Kill.
I'd love to see this series as an anthology...which is becoming a bit of a trend. Would love to see these same actors play other roles.
