Started off ok despite the mediocre acting and slow start. Then, deteriorates badly. More bad acting, plot holes, a ridiculous storyline and even more ridiculous horror effects.

Set in London, it would be assumed they are staying in holiday accommodation, yet much of the story doesn't add up. Characters are annoying and are unpredictable in a nonsensical way.

Wouldn't even say this is a horror as really not scary. Some of the effects would be laughable if they weren't so bad. I foolishly decided to watch till the end which was a mistake as was a complete waste of time. Best avoided if you are looking for a horror.

What were they thinking!? Was such a great, atmospheric, suspenseful film. Beautifully filmed, creepy and thought provoking. A whole number of interesting and bizarre characters. Amazing scenery and great acting.

I think in the end, they didn't know where else to go with it....an ending that is best forgotten. I won't go into detail, but i think they were trying to create an arty ending that just doesn't work considering how good this film at the beginning and middle. It just seems the ending was done with little thought and perhaps just trying for shock effect.

A shame, as could have been a classic, but alas.
