  • The masterpiece of the bolivian cinema

Jorge Sanjinés probably the most awarded bolivian filmmaker directed this hidden treasure of the Latin American cinema. With a great script and a avant-garde time-lime setting the film is a masterpiece. Settled in the andean region the story of a aymara man that wants to reconnect with his tradition even in a political unstable situation. With a film like Clandestine Nation someone can asked about the idea of what means an independent film because no longer this is a low budget film with amateur actors this film as well as the other films of Sanjinés are deeply involve with the cause of the defense the indigenous identity of Bolivia. Even Sanjinés is openly ant-imperialist in reference to the U.S. politics abroad the film also reflect the idea of left-wing can't understand the indigenous population. Clandestine Nation is a tale about the conviction of the andean people to fight for their identity.

  • Life, dead and health system

The film of Marcos Loayza is more than someone can think without a context. Is a political film in the tradition of bolivian cinema with connections to social criticism like the great Jorge Sanjinés. In this film the central point is the critic to the health system. What is the importance of the live of patience it for the state or the insurance companys. Can someone could be condemned to jail for can't afford a medical treatment. A lot of questions about a reality not bolivian but latinamerican. Marcos Loayza accomplish a great film about the tragic situation of the health system because when it appears as just another there is no mercy to someone that can't afford the cost of the illness and metaphorically but perhaps in reality also are condemned to dead.

  • The End of Love and The End of Times

When I saw the trailer I was very excited about this film I think that is the apocalyptic film that the indie movement need to do when the panic is close. But when I see the movie I don't see a apocalyptic film I see a film about love and how be without it could may you think the world is over. In other worlds maybe also can we understand this movie as a apocalyptic history of love a cross-genre between apocalyptic dreams and a psychological introspection. But beyond the love and then hate story there is important point the friendship between two male friends appear as mature and deep relation. The screenplay is really intelligent. The cinematography of the film is remarkable. The actors were fit in the characters. Evan Glodell made with this film a successful debut.
