It started out strong and then meandered into bizarrely incomprehensible territory. The writing became contrived, preachy, and plain stupid. The story had all the elements for a meaningful, impressionable story but they never came together. In fact, the elements became so disjointed that I was impressed the cast was able to finish it.
Ryan Murphy has contributed so much great storytelling but this one really missed the mark. This one left me feeling confused, disappointed and frustrated that I'd invested so much time watching. I love Niecy Nash and the eye candy boys are beautiful. However, do not waste your time.

The characters are endearing. But the stories feel like bland, made-for-tv, less exciting versions of Supernatural. The overall narrative is a bit forced. The point that the doctor is a nearly single mom is over done with the annoying babbling children.
There are elements of the story that have little or nothing to do with the plot, and often they just vanish like an afterthought or a filler that only causes confusion rather than intrigue.
It feels like a show with a lot of potential that is trying to play it safe. Therefore, what could be really interesting just turns out to be "meh." Overall, it misses the mark.

This series made no sense. It is just dumb. Don't wast your time. There are so many loose cliches with no substance. The ultimate message had no merit. The trailer makes it look way more interesting and intriguing than it is. It's just bad. It has great bones. But the structure is not stable. The sub plots are weak and detract from the story rather than enhance it. It is an attempt to deliver every politically correct element of modern society with a flimsy attempt at horror blended in. They tried way too hard to creat something relevant and missed the mark. It is waaaaaay off the mark. Goosebumps is better.
