I think NETFLIX should have stuck with original title "Ryan Reynolds; THE MOVIE!", it begs the question if one can have just too much Ryan Reynolds and still be entertaining and I know what you are thinking; the Deadpool series has an uncomfortable amount of Ryan Reynolds yet somehow manages to remain entertaining... this film has even more.
You see the geniuses over at FOX studios have figured out a way to pepper their movies with just enough away time from Ryan on the screen so you can collect your thoughts and get reinvested in the movie, well NETFLIX doesn't play your rules maaannnnn and if they want all of the Reynolds lines to be jokey than so be it. My guess is that they thought Ryan Reynolds was Dane Cook and I could see how they could get them confused but even Cook couldn't make EVERYTHING funny.
How could they squeeze more entertainment into only one film.... who better to explain all the plot points than Morgan Freeman unless of course you have Ryan Reynolds cast; actually I've only watched the first 45 minutes (needed a break) so Freeman could be in the movie I guess. I was going to do a Tom Cruise comparison about screen time but I've run out of steam, watch the movie and good luck.

Gotta love that Charismatic smile from Burt Reynolds, for the user that was asking why Tom Petty wasn't included... well this is the Internet "Movie" Database, I'm sure there are a multitude of musician based websites that didn't mention LaVerne. 2018 has been a year of great loss for me and it's nice to see our dead being honored, thank you IMDb for helping us to remember the gifts of talent that have been shared with us throughout the years ^_^
I like when smaller Studios like A24 make Horror films... they are just so much more interesting than the movies the giant studios make to please the masses; smaller productions by default need to be more clever and while they may not smash Box Office records they bring joy to the few Savvy Connoisseurs.
The movie starts with death and you're sure you know where it's going on with the Granddaughter Charlie but you don't because (shocking twist), then the Mom kinda in a way and then the Son and then the Mom in a big way and then the Father... the Mom again and then the Son but it all comes back to the Daughter.
Does that make sense? No it doesn't which is why this is a great movie to watch!
