  • it's Miyazaki Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind , plus other thing

First, the final is basicly almost a copy paste of the final of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, before the plot was a twist on severance (mad science, the different "ini" outi"), with the background of a Science Fiction element of "generation star ship" (subgenre of science fiction books that i really like").

So i was very pissed of from the movie being first totally not fun, as was expected, but mor "silo" dark (the place does look like the "silo" premise then a starship)

then i was mad about the all Miyazaki ripoff.

Sadly, its seems like movie industry lost all of its originality. They could do a lot better with this actors, and budget.

  • sorry guys, you are just too old and not funny any more

Trailer park boys, used to be a cool show, but that was like perhaps 20 years ago. Unfortunately time is a cruel thing, so now everybody who left from the show are looking worn out, and the magic is lost. The main character bubbles tries his best apparently, but he can't carry the silly show on is shoulders, while the rest are hardly contributing. I understand this guys want to cash in on the success of the show, but enough is enough, they just recycling each year bubbles juvenile rock star whims, and the silly tour to Europe concept, that are really not interesting or funny any more, and are kind of stupid (the all kitties songs for example). For me trailer park boys ended when Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth) died, everything they made afterward was just got bad and stopped being funny.

So i would advise everybody to skip this, and just rewatch the original series instead.

  • lazy writing all over. poor tony salhoub.

I don't know what to say. I wasn't expecting very much from this tv nostalgic movie, but even what was going was pretty lame story.

So let's start by asking what was the purpose of this movie ? And the answer is very clear: try to milk some nostalgic 'Mr Monk' fans.

As we see, since that the main purpose of this movie is just to exploit the fans, then the quality of the story is not important, or the integrity of the story is not important.

That put us in a situation where nothing in this movie is really important, but the nostalgic parts' like the re-introduction of randy, Nataly, and Leyland.

So since the story is not very important then what we are left with is some poorly crafted tv episode, when everyone know who is the bad guy in advance, and all we got to do is to wait till the film will be concluded.

The only redeeming g thing in this movies was the introduction of the 'dark Monk' persona, however since this behavior is so different from the monk we used to like in the TV show, then it is probably not going to be liked by the avid fans of monk.

I was missing Harold's character' (it is mention in monk's letter), since Harold became almost a regular character in the show last season.

So it's ok film for a Monk's fans, but with more budget and dedication, it could have been much more.
