I am a Forester in the Department of Forests and Wildlife under the Government of Kerala in India. The Kerala Forest Department is, you know, concerned on the entity of the human beings with the survival of each species in its habitat through a global vision and conserves 10,336 KM2 of forests forming 26.6% of the total geographic area of the state. Forester is the Chief Protection Officer of the Forest Section and an Officer in the Government Kerala. The Section includes both forest and non-forest areas. The Section may be divided into two beats and the Forest Guards protect the beat. Safeguarding the forest property belonging to the Government is the main duty of a Forester. The forest property includes flower to seed, root to leaf, seedlings to trees, poles to timber, land to river, fur to ivory, venison to trophy, local to exotic, aquatic to winged, endangered to plenty, amphibians to mammals and domesticated to wild. Prevent forest fire is another important duty of a Forest Officer. I have worked in the sections ranging from the area of 28 hectare to 261 square KM. The Forester has to nab the culprits and may arrest them. The Forester has the power of entry, search and seize the articles along with the baggage, vehicle etc and produce with or without the accused before the Court. Forest Officer is a Government witness during trials. The Forester should prevent and investigate the offense within the territory. The duties are similar to a Police Officer too.
I have passed the one year long Forester Training and half a year long Forest Guards Training.
Besides, I am licensed to drive both Light Motor Vehicles and motor cycles in India.
My height is 178 cm and weighed 82 Kg. I am a teetotaler and non smoker. I have good command over the English language with the exceptional communication skills.
