This series is a total waste of time. It starts off reasonably well but then it drags on and on and on. It is painfully slow and leads nowhere. I do not see the point of this series ever being made. This could've been a two hour documentary at the most. It is so slow that it seems like it is moving in real time. It provides no useful or new information as to the motive behind the killings and no explanation for all of the open questions regarding the case. It's saving grace that it does provide a view of how discriminated against the gay community was in Indianapolis those days and how apparently, the local authorities did not follow up on many open questions and loose ends. Don't waste your time on this series.

The show seemed to start off well and was building up to an interesting story. However somewhere along the middle of the show it seemed to lose focus, the acting deteriorated and the writing went downhill. By the last two episodes, the show made no sense whatsoever. It seemed completely unbelievable and the last two episodes seemed like an afterthought to try to create an ending with a twist. Overall a terrible show and a waste of time. The direction seemed almost amateurish. It also made no sense to have a younger actress play Cate Blanchett's younger role. People don't change that much in 20 years in terms of their facial appearance. Very poorly executed production and direction.

Don't believe the extreme negative reviews. This is actually an entertaining and funny film. The acting and script are surprisingly good. You need to watch it in Italian with English subtitles. The Italian to English translation is wonderful and conveys the humor very well. It made me laugh out loud multiple times, and is a great lighthearted way to spend a holiday afternoon. I do enjoy Italian cinema, and some of the actors were familiar to me. The humor is reminiscent of "weekend at Bernie's". I really do not understand the multiple negative reviews giving one star rating - it is far from boring!
