  • Things Are Gonna Change, I Can Feel It

I'm dropping in to provide a quick correction to something in a previous poster's review.

Beck was not in a band called Loser with Kill the Moonlight's director Steve Hanft.

As mentioned in the trivia section, Beck's hit song "Loser" featured an audio clip from Kill the Moonlight ("I'm a driver. I'm a winner. Things are gonna change, I can feel it").

Hanft would go on to direct several of Beck's music videos over the years, including the video for the aforementioned "Loser."

Several clips of the Kill the Moonlight film are featured in the "Loser" music video and, as that previous reviewer mentioned, there are a few Beck tracks on the Kill the Moonlight soundtrack.

"Soy un perdedor I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?

(Get crazy with the cheeze whiz)"

"Soy un perdedor I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?"

    "(Drive-by body pierce)"

    "Yo, bring it on down"

"Soy un perdedor I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?

    (I can't believe you)"

  • Ignore the Low Rating, This Was Great!

Ignore the low rating. This is a funny episode that deserves more than its current 6.6. I've a feeling the low rating comes from those who are annoyed it doesn't solely focus on the Wrexham team and townsfolk.

Some of the bits here are hilarious and give the fans of both actors a taste of what a comedy show or film with the two of them would be like. I hope we see that one day, but I digress.

In this episode there's an extremely brief history of Wales; some mild poking fun at the Wrexham team, the Welsh language, and especially at the two team co-owners themselves; and ending with the Welsh National Anthem sung by the beautiful and talented Charlotte Church.

Anyone expecting Welcome to Wrexham to be a completely serious documentary series from start to finish obviously doesn't know Rob and Ryan's humor. Perhaps some viewers were disappointed that this is a full episode with the two actors throughout. Yes, Wrexham is the main focus of the series overall but did some of you really expect Rob and Ryan to take a backseat to the town and team the entire time? If so, that's on you and your own misguided expectations. I'm sure there are many of us who wanted to see the team, the town, and the actors!

Anyway, this episode had me in stitches and, if you're into Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's sense of humor at all, you'll likely love it as much as I did. Great show!

  • A Surprisingly Good Dystopian Indie Film

Jackrabbit is a surprisingly good low-budget dystopian Indie. Based on the current score, I was expecting a terrible film; after viewing it, I'm unsure if the majority of raters watched the same movie as I did.

It has good cinematography, a fitting minimal Carpenter-esque score, a decent premise and finale, all sorts of cool retro gear and computer tech, some awesome throwback Sci-Fi visuals, colorful characters and decent acting, great locations, and a couple of really good special effects.

Now, the film isn't perfect by any means. There are some pacing issues and a few head-scratching moments that could've been better executed with a bigger budget. And despite the aforementioned decent acting, there are a few rough moments from certain actors. But overall - and especially for such a low-budget project - Jackrabbit is exceptionally well done.

That this film received such a poor audience response is the real head-scratcher.
