This is one of the best examples of cyberpunk in a game done right. For those who love thinking about what the future might entail and have read Neuromancer, and Snow Crash, then you will be in for a treat. There isn't anything new that it adds to the genre, but it plays up to its inspirations splendidly. It has everything you could every hope for a cyberpunk game. A futuristic story that keeps you guessing, augmentations, neural enhancements, netrunning, corporations, Hong Kong, etc. I loved it, but as you might be able to tell, I'm a "little" bit of a fan of cyberpunk!
The gameplay will remind of you classic SNES games, of 2-D side-scrolling action/adventure, with RPG elements such as leveling up. The game is not very difficult, as it allows you to enjoy the atmosphere and dialogue, it is very well written. In fact, that was my favorite part of the game, was getting immersed in a futuristic cyberpunk world. And what a beautifully gritty world it is.
