  • So sweet and funny!

I thought I have watched almost all the Czech good comedies, especially with the unforgettable Mr. actor Vladimír Mensík. But this movie was so surprising... I remember I watched a poster on the wall of my roommate in the dormitory; I wanted to watch the movie that time, but no chance, till now. "You are getting fat, and you are not so young already; I hope we will eat immediately," MSc. Devil (Mensík) said when he met his girlfriend (Bohdalová) after very long time. And the whole movie he still eats, eats, eats. When she is cooking next food, he eats furniture. I smiled from the beginning to the end. 10/10

  • Surprisely a good movie!

I did not expect so much after the announced names of the producers Kassar and Vajna; I also did not know anything about the director Jonathan Mostow. But I must confess that even though I still prefer the first Terminator, I very liked the third one. First I read the announcement of the T3 with a female terminator around 10 years ago in a magazine, so I was looking forward to it long time. Today I watched it (my first Terminator movie in cinema), and I declare all the staff made a good work. Ms. Kristanna Loken was so the good choice!

  • The World's Number One

First time I watched Psycho when I was fifteen. For me it was a really true movie, because I have also a mother with some despotic states of mind, like Norman. Of course not so horrible, but I can emphathise with Norman very well. From that first watching Hitchcock has become my most favorite director, and I suppose he will always be.

Psycho was the complement of almost forty years of his movie-direction work and he took advantage of what he had learnt during the whole cinematographic time. From the silent season where the modern film tricks were not available, through the black-and-white film-noir epoch where metaphysics was essential, until the birth of technics in the time of wide-screen technicolor.

I can still listen to Bernard Herrmann's schizophrenic music against a background of the schizo-designed titles, as well as I can still see all the great scenes of the movie, even as I watched it more than twenty times.

Anthony Perkins interpreted the performance which is in my opinion the best I have ever seen. And I really know what is behavior, motion and gestures of a boy in a family with a despotic mother, as I mentioned.

Some people do not like Psycho because there are some horrible scenes. But they do not take account that the real artist cannot be fashionable. Psycho is one of those movies where the artistic beauty is in everything, included the horrible scenes. And everything in this picture has a sense.

For me Psycho is the best movie I have ever watched, and it will probably be the best forever.
