The Facebook Faux Pas

The Facebook Faux Pas

7.9
  • Apr 3, 2011
  • Original and full of laughs

What The Facebook Faux Pas does is take a simple mistake-one that could almost happen to any of us in this age of social networking-and it exploits it to a hilarious, unpredictable end.

From the introduction of the main character, you can tell he hasn't quite grown up, from the store he runs to the way he interacts with his mother, and especially the jokes he plays on others. For once, though, he didn't mean this prank. As the story unfolds, he gets his "payback" by being sent on a guilt trip for causing many funny, albeit unfortunate incidents to befall his neighbor's family, and ultimately, the threat of "de-friending." The path the audience is taken is one filled with laughs and unpredictability. Just when you think things are starting to calm down, another wrench is thrown into the story, culminating on the end, where his rival uses Facebook against him for the ultimate revenge.

The story is original and genuinely funny, and pulled of perfectly by the actors' performances. My only complaint is that I wanted more when it was over, but this was also a strength of this short-it ended before it dragged past its time.
