I loved the original book by Anthony Doerr and I also loved this film adaption. Actors were great and Marie was awesome. The atmosphere of the book was well captured on screen. Beautiful French buildings and scenaries were exactly how I imagined those to be, and also Marie's home.
BUT... Using English instead of German and French languages was something peculiar. The only big mistake in this production. Nazis communicating with each other in English? Really? This lack of authenticity kind of ruined such great experience from me. Please remake this in German/French again, or at least dub it in original languages for us who got disturbed...!

This couple seems to be amazing. They make such a great match, not everyone finds such happiness in life. It was lovely to see their new, real life with peace, children, dogs and chickens, after all that mad stuff in Great Britain. I would love to meet them in person, they are so nice and have great values in life. They are totally something else than the tabloids all around the world have told us. They are so brave to make that happen! They both are so genuine and caring. Reminds me of Diana, the Princess of Hearts. Her son is so much like her, a bit rebel by heart, sensitive by nature and so is her daughter-in-law. Diana would be so proud of them! I recommend everyone to see their side of the story, too.
I hated, I hated, I hated her. She was such a selfish, unmature, whiny and greedy woman with no ability to raise her children. Otherwise this could have been a great serie.
