  • It's exactly what you expect

This movie is exactly what I thought it would be so I can't complain too much.

The two leads are both very attractive and have good chemistry, so that was entertaining to watch and nice on the eyes. It had some cute scenes. I gotta say the ensemble was pretty good if I laughed it was always because something one of them said. They were a bunch of goofy characters. I also enjoyed dermot mulroney's character when he was learning how to dive and the reoccurance of that at the end of the movie. It made me giggle.

But I gotta say... the dialogue was very mediocre and at times just not good at all. It just lacked depth which again didn't expect it to have depth but still could have been better.

  • Interesting until the last episode

The show started off very slow but I was very interested to get more info. I enjoyed the way they did flashbacks to show the love story between Darby and Bill and the murder mystery they were trying to solve. I didn't enjoy all the scenes from the present day conference. It felt like they were trying too hard to make it some epic thing with this great couple, Lee and Andy. But it just didn't provide enough info on them, probably to keep them mysterious which I think was a bit of a mistake.

Without spoilers.... I did like the reveal of the whodunnit. I thought it was a good idea and a good payoff from the story happening at this conference. My two "complaints" and the only reason I didn't rate this show higher are:

    1. Lack luster character development for Lee and Andy so I didn't really care much about them at the end. Their "struggles" didn't bring much to their story to care about what happened and for the ending to really hit I think I needed to care way more. They were extremely important to the ending and caring about their motivations so when it was all revealed I just felt "aww dang so close to an amazing ending!!!"

    2. The last episode just felt so rushed and not in a good way. For a show that took SOOO much time cloaking the mystery it was such a shame to end it so rushed. They could have trimmed scenes throughout the show to provide more time unraveling this mystery to provide a better ending. Like more time on Lee and Andy like I talked about above and just on the scene where Darby figures it out. I'm not kidding when I say she went from 1 second being confused as ever to the next knowing exactly what happened and even in hindsight I don't think it was enough for what happened for her to figure it out. Would have been nicer to really drawl that scene out. Especially because the actors were all doing such a good job acting off of each other. Just a shame and so so close to being a 9/10 possibly.

  • Cringe

I laughed exactly once during this movie and it was when one of the characters said good evening and mimed tipping their hat. Lol that's not even funny it just caught me off guard. The whole movie was just over the top. It was overly sexual even adults to children which was uncomfortable. The acting was beyond exaggerated which again was not funny. Then of course the over the top bloodiness and cavalier attitude to violence is so strange. Also the fact that these gay characters are aggressively pursuing straight characters is a weird message. I just really don't get the point in this movie at all.

  • Mixed Feeling but Ultimately Uncomfortable

I have super mixed feelings on this movie. I saw it in theatres and was excited to see Jennifer Lawrence in a comedy she's very funny in interviews and I thought she did pretty good in this movie it was very her with the physical comedy BUT I just can't get over this kid who is supposed to be 19?? He looks 15 to me and Jen looks 32. It just felt so creepy and weird the whole time to me, I just couldn't get past that. I can get past the weird plot of the parents paying a 32 to sleep with their child... which is weird but whatever it's a movie... but they should have found someone that looks a bit older. It just felt like she was luring this literal kid to sleep with her. Like luring him to skinny dip.. yikes. I just felt weird the whole time especially because he doesn't seem into her until late in the movie so that made it even weirder! Haha just really odd and not really funny like they hoped.

Idk better casting could have done a lot for this movie I think to make it a little less uncomfortable. I really want to like this movie and I've seen WAAYY worse movies so I give it a 5/10.

  • Super Biased

I could barely get through this documentary. I don't think it's a good title to call this "Depp vs Heard" it should have a different name, like adding the affects of social media on depp vs heard. Or something idk. Thought this did cover the drop vs heard trial it had a huge commentary on the social media presence and interest during the trial. I found it weird how in-depth they went with that, but also put a weird shame on it because everyone was making memes about amber. The creator of this documentary was clearly on ambers side, which is fine but again this wasn't the right title. I went in thinking this would be more of a tale of the trial not a hit piece. This had potential but they missed the mark.

  • Why is it 3 episodes??

First off just watch the third episode don't waste your time watching all 3 episodes.

Episode 1 is the wife talking about how amazing he was when they dated. I think she described as perfect like 50 times.

Episode 2 is her talking about him cheating with adult women and normalizing her obsessiveness over every detail about him cheating. She was reading his sexts out loud to her podcast producer. It was very strange to watch. Speaking of the podcast producer she just really pushes the wife to continue this obsessiveness and really overdramatizes every little thing. This episode was just soooo long. Cheating is terrible and devastating to the spouse how gets cheated on but they made it like they were talking about he murdered someone. I found myself just not caring.

Episode 3 is finally about the sexual assault that lands him in jail. This was finally interesting because the dramatic nature finally matched what they were talking about. The student that comes forward and tells her story was great to listen to. Very brave and very proud of her.

  • It's cute

I am American and this was my first k-drama. There was a lot of culture shock and confusion for me all the way through the 16 episodes. This is a very different style from any American show I've seen. There were silly sounds played to enhance the comedy which really turned me off at first, I eventually just ignored it as I think this just might be cultural. Outside of that, once the two leads start liking each other it got very cute. I found myself smiling as I watched them. I would say it takes awhile to get good, it's probably around the 10th episode where it gets really cute and fun. I found myself drawn into the main actor he got better every episode.
