The other reviewers are correct, it's bad. But for people, like me, who enjoy certain kinds of bad movies, it's a gold mine.
After the first shark attack scene, it goes on tediously for a bit, and I almost gave up on it. There is a lot of pointless dialogue, over explaining of things, etc... but if you can stay with it, it's got a lot of laugh out loud moments.
There is a non-sensical plot, TERRIBLE acting, writing and dialogue, laughable accents, baffling and unrealistic actions, attempts at touching & sentimental scenes for characters the audience cares nothing about, amateurish CGI, etc...
It's a real hoot if you're in to the that sort of thing. If you're wanting an actual "good" shark attack film, you should definitely avoid though.

I'll not summarize the plot here. Just leaving a few words to express my appreciation and surprise at how fun M3GAN is.
I wasn't expecting much based on the trailers and I'm not a real fan of "killer doll" horror. But, this one delivers.
Much like the original Child's Play, this film doesn't take itself too seriously, parodies the genre and consumerism, while simultaneously bringing some shock along with the laughs.
M3GAN doesn't rely on gore for effect either; the violence is mostly implied and not on-screen for the most part (which, for me, is preferred).
The movie isn't at all unpredictable, doesn't delve in to the science of how, doesn't spend a whole lot time with ethical dilemmas of AI, realistic applications etc...
So, serious sci-fi and horror/gore fans may not care for this film. But, if you go in with the right mindset, you're in for a fun cinematic diversion. And, don't be surprised if M3GAN is a popular Halloween costume next year.

Major Bullet Points:
*It's British. So there's that
*You don't necessarily need to love "British" comedy(but it may help)
*I wondered if I could stay with it after the first few minutes. Just wasn't sure what I was getting in to
*There are a couple of characters that are just a little too silly and over the top
*Easy watch. Clocks in at a little over an hour (which probably prevents some things to not grow tiresome. But, a little more time could have assisted with some character/story development)
*It almost seems like it was a possible pilot episode
The plot/storyline has already been discussed. So, I'll just give my opinion of why should (or maybe should not watch)
It is a very endearing movie that will have you laughing out loud (if you're in to Police Squad!/Naked Gun-type humor)
For what it is, just about everything in this movie works. The acting is top notch. The jokes are just as outrageous as they are funny.
The friends and I that enjoyed this movie love the type of humor you will find in Flight of the Conchords, The Office, Heat Vision and Jack, The Simpsons (first decade), Seinfeld, Arrested Development, The Last Man on Earth, MST3K, Top Secret & Police Squad!
If that type of silly humor isn't your thing, you might want to swipe left!
