This movie has taught me so much. The reality of life, loss, grief, friendship, relationships, anger, beauty , despair, loneliness and everything that is you will experience as a human being. I went in not expecting much but boy I stand corrected, I stand humbled. I went in thinking this was just another story. The cast, cinematography, music, story.. just everything about it was brilliant to say the least. It proves that simplicity can be extraordinary. It captures the moments and essence of life so flawlessly. Movie of the year for me. Beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful. Kindness and love will prevail.
This movie was more than a movie.. it was a walk down memory lane, one that was filled with all kind of emotions. I used to think there was no spiderman movie that could ever beat the original in 2002. Well, this masterpiece might just have slightly topped that. If you haven't watched this, please do yourself a favour and finish 2021 in style with this one.
Let me start off by saying I'm a huge Ellen fan. I was super excited when Relatable was announced, but the hype died even at first quarter of the stand up. The good side : it had some funny parts but not ones that's memorable or invoked lasting laughters. Ellen looked good but gave out vibes that she is trying so much, it was like a hidden struggle with jokes, and that isn't Ellen's usual ways at all. I found it pretty mediocre, to be honest. I stopped watching halfway and switched over to her older stand up "Here and Now" just to get rid of the unpleasant feeling from Relatable. I still love you Ellen.
