Absolutely unwatchable!!! In Italy this TV series came out late, now I understand why. Terrible quality, in every way, from the actors, terrible, to the plots, obscene. It's a mix between a children's comedy, with some minimal sci-fi touches, and a classic soap opera!!! Honestly, I couldn't watch it all, I didn't have the courage to give it a minimal chance after the disgrace I had to endure with the first episodes. It seems in every way an 80s production, where the TV series, let's face it, were truly terrible and the real B side of the productions. What's the point of producing a show like this in the 2020s, after we had the honor of witnessing gems like Black Mirror or The Twilight Zone?
Let's face it. The Midnight Club is terribly boring!!! Let's be clear, the main story is also cute, even if seen and re-seen, and even the stories that the boys tell are funny. But between the plot and the direction there is an abyss. You can't expect the viewer to spend 1 hour of his time in episodes that could last 35 minutes without the slightest problem. Half of the scenes for each episode can easily be cut and discarded. As it is, after 30 minutes the viewer wonders "WHEN WILL IT END???"!!!!! The characters, even if perfect clichés, are credible, and each one stands out too much for its own peculiarities. We are not talking about a TV series for teenagers, but we are close, even if the authors had the good taste to veer towards a more mature, but weak, script. Everything in this TV series has potential, but in the end it all seems wasted.
