i had been told that premutos was goreier than peter jackson's braindead but i dont think it is. the effects are not quite as profound as in Braindead and the shi**y quality of the equipment theyve used makess the film a lot less powerful, that is not to say that premutos is bad...BRAINDEAD is just a masterpiece and should not be compared to anything. the dubbed english dialogue in premutos is utterly atrocious but since there is no subtitles on the german tracks its the only way youll know whats going on
my advice is to watch it in german and swap back to the english audio only when you have to. the movie is pretty good as far as the independent scene is concerned but those who love the mainstream hollywood bogroll will hate it
this film is very similar to THE DEAD NEXT DOOR and Leif Jonker's DARKNESS. If you liked them youll like this.

not a bad example of the italian cannibal genre. has many of the standard exploitation requirements, naked girls and violence, though lacks in the actual human consumption department as this tribe consists of head hunters not cannibals. still plenty of gore and a nice musical score . The voice over narration can get annoyingly obvious( as in it states what is happening on screen, or the characters reaction to what they are seeing)but this is a minor flaw
