  • Not what I expected

I had the impression that at least some of the cast from the original series would be in this reboot based on how this new version was advertised. That, unfortunately, is not the case. There is too much going on in the first episode to get a clear picture as to what is going on. The flashbacks to 2010 don't help. I watched episode #1 and that will be it for me. The story line is not intersting because there is way too much in-fighting going on with little explanation. I was excited to see this reboot but I was very disappointed. In other words, the episode was FLAT at best. That's really too bad.

  • Good, well acted movie

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It held my attention the entire 2 and 1/2 hours. It is a far better movie than the Oscar winner for 2022. "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" was a joke and not very interesting at all. Jamie Lee Curtis was the only stand out in that turkey.

I'm not too keen on Michelle Williams but she did do a pretty good job in this film. Jud Hirsch was hardly in the movie and received an Oscar nomination...what's up with that? Seth Rogen should have been nominated instead.

Gabriel LaBelle was great in the lead. He will go far as a leading actor. He played Steven Spielberg very well.

Pure TRASH. A waste of talent. Could only stand 40 minutes and that was it.

  • Waste of time

We tried to watch this movie on 2 different occasions (the second time was to give it another chance). After 20 minutes the first time and 30 the second time we conclude that the story line is weak and NOT funny. Don't waste your time.

  • Horrible movie!

I was prepared to like this movie because Sean Hayes was in it. The acting was horrendous and the story line was NOT funny at all. No wonder this TURKEY was never released to the theaters. According to box office mojo it made ZILCH so it was never released. Susan was unbelievable as a character. Does anyone really act like that and get away with it? I wasted over 90 minutes of my life on this junk that I will never get back!

  • Too painful to watch anymore

After 40 minutes we called it quits. Poor acting and boring story line. Gay characters were dull and the supposed straight man was a joke. I didn't recognize Elliot's mother but I remembered her name from a horror movie back in the 60's...Night of the Living Dead. Her acting was bad back then and she never improved. Don't waste your time on this TURKEY! And, unbelievably, they made a sequel of this trach 2 years later!

  • Good holiday LGBTQ movie

Acting is a little stiff but the story line is good. The main characters, Hugo and Patrick, are married in real life and their love for each other came through beautifully. I would recommend this movie to everyone. Good for Lifetime to show such an open minded movie with no bigotry.

  • Waste of time

Extremely boring and slow moving. The least they could have done is have some frontal male nudity to make it more interesting. The belly-aching woman in the movie was like eating razor blades, so boring!

  • WONDERFUL Documentary

This documentary showed us what a REAL President acts like. Both Obama and Reagan both BEHAVED like someone the country could be proud of. Extreme contrast on what we have today in the WH. Made me sad to think of what we used to have compared to the disaster we have now.

  • Waste of time

I guess I just didn't get it. So many good reviews and I was bored to tears. I really tried to get into this movie but I just couldn't. They should have played up his being gay and relationships along the way because I had no idea he was gay until toward the end.

  • Excellent performance by Zellweger

Had to rent this movie from Amazon because the other video source kept bypassing me for weeks. I deleted this movie from that other source and paid the $2.99 at Amazon and it was well worth it. Renee Zellweger's performance was definitely Oscar worthy. The story line was OK but I noticed a few inconsistencies with what had previously been reported on line and in the news. Overall. I would recommend.

  • WORST show on TV

I tried to watch this show 2 times. Once for Thanksgiving (the old shows with Rosanne were funny) and again for Christmas this past Tuesday. I never made it past 10 minutes for either episode. The acting is AWFUL and the story lines are weak and boring. Neither episode spent much time on the holiday itself. Becky and Darlene need to go to acting school. That arm tattoo on Becky is pure TRASH. Dan is also a bad actor and him still doing drywall is totally unbelievable. The fact that Darlene is a lesbian in real life makes her character on the show shallow when she's with her new boyfriend (the guy who played the father on the O'Neil's). And don't get me started on the transgender son's character. Letting him go to school with a frilly skirt on is not realistic and sends the wrong message about gender identity. In the real world, bullies would beat him up daily. That character could be treated better to portray REALITY (and who really knows what that is?). BAD SHOW and a waste of time.

  • Don't waste your time

Pure garbage. Mocking Michael Moore is one thing but to make comedy out of suicide bombers, etc in 2008 was way too soon. In fact, it's still too soon. Jon Voight and Kelsey Grammer being in this turkey just proves it's politically motivated. I wasted 30 minutes of my life on this mess before I finally gave up and stopped it.

  • Waste of time

Poor acting and stupid plot. I saw only 30 minutes of this MESS. The title I saw it under was Tortilla Road. Anthony Sabato Jr is a terrible actor. Somehow this movie ended up in the LGBTQ category on one of my streaming sites. It's no where close to being LGBTQ.

  • Just saw the series on DVD

Excellent show! I can't believe that NBC buckled under the pressure from the religious right christians. This show is harmless and very entertaining. Too bad they didn't make more than 8 episodes. I can't believe how hateful the Christian right can be. There was a lot of truth in this series that they were and are afraid of....like compassion and that God loves everyone, not just them! I found the show funny, real and full of class. Aidan Quinn was marvelous and very compassionate. Shame on the Christian right for bullying their way into censoring a classy, bold TV series. NBC has gone down hill for quite some time. A series like this could have helped them compete with the other networks. This series was comparable to CBS's 'Brothers and Sisters' or maybe even a little better. I found myself laughing one minute and crying the next. That's good, wholesome entertainment as far as I'm concerned. NBC, you lost on this one. I rarely watch anything on that network because most of the shows are mindless entertainment. Also, I heard it was on TV on Friday nights....one of the worst nights to be on to draw an audience! It was doomed from the start with a weak viewing base and an even weaker network to be on. This show needs to be rejuvenated on a network like HBO or Showtime where the Christian right has no influence!
