A TWISTED AFFAIR, was exactly just that. In addition, it was a train wreck. The lead character (Neil) was ridiculous, annoying and completely boring to no end. In addition, the plot was just as boring. The only character that brought value to the story was (Rose). The actor that portrayed the character (Neal) was also terrible. The movie overall had no real plot-point in Act 1, neither did it have an inciting incident. The main character's dramatic need was a different storyline and better acting required. I sure hope that this review has reached six hundred characters because only so much can be said.
First of all the opening with credits was five minutes long. Not sure what the writer had in mind, however when you one opens and shows five minutes of just scenes which doesn't grab anyone's attention it's just amateurish. The story Setup was terrible. In addition, the Inciting Incident was neither evident or present. The dramatic premise is missing. Then the long dialogue scene between the husband and wife are ridiculously long and boring and nonsensical. Twenty-five minutes into Act I consist of what supposed be in Flashback...in my opinion it is a flat-back. I won't torture myself with Act II or Act III, as far as I'm concerned this supposed drama-thriller was a complete waste of time. As well as the acting being really bad.
In reading the other reviews and/or remarks, I have to disagree with any references with regard to both male characters or one male character referenced as being gay. That is so ridiculous. The more accurate relationship between the two males, rather should be seen as older big brother and younger naive brother. Bix, like any older brother looks out and protects a younger less worldly brother. In addition, I think that Bix is afraid of making a commitment to Carrie, because he's never allowed himself to be close to a woman in a relationship, and now because he's starting to feel something for Carrie, he's fearful and ready to run. Now, with regard to the story's resolution (Act III), Carrie just suddenly screaming just made no real sense.
