  • Loved the book, loved the movie!

I have read a lot of comments written by fans of the books who disliked the movie because it was not faithful to the most minute detail. I, for one, must say that I am a stickler for detail as well as a big fan of the books. I LOVED "THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN." The magical tone of the movie covered up any minor discontinuities between the book and the movie. The acting was fabulous, especially the three young leads, who have matured brilliantly since "CofS". Also amazing was David Thewlis as Professor Lupin. Lupin is one of my favorite characters in the series, and I was a little nervous as to how his character was going to be treated. But from the first scene on the train, my fears were blown away. The one disclaimer I must add is that if you have not read the book, you might get really confused as to what is going on, because many plot elements are left unexplained (this, however, is not a problem if you've read the book). 10 out of 10. A MUST SEE FOR ALL FANS OF THE BOOK

  • Timeless

I must first admit that I am such a fan of Les Miz (words cannot even describe it) that if anyone says something even remotely negative about the show, I will be deeply offended. That being said...I must say that anyone who has a passion for Les Miserables (or the theater in general for that matter) should see this.

I was moved to tears several times throughout the one-hour long video, especially during the "One Day More" sequence from the Oslo production. "One Day More" is my absolute favorite from the show (and actually my favorite song, period), and I was moved to tears, despite the fact that it was in Swedish. In a musical as powerful as Les Miz, words are unnecessary, the message is still there, in all its force. It is impossible to convey if you haven't seen the musical in any form the passion that drives this magnificent show.

  • Nothing short of brilliance!

I am a self-proclaimed musical theater fanatic (understatement, I assure you). Be that as it may, this video was the most brilliant musical revue I have ever seen (also an understatement!) If you have any passion for musical theater whatsoever, you MUST see this!

The theater has always been my joy, but I never thought I would see so many showstoppers by so many theater legends in a three-hour period. I mean, Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters, Lea Salonga, Jonathan Pryce, Colm Wilkinson, Ellen Greene...the list goes on and on and on.

The amazingly prolific career of Cameron Mackintosh is portrayed without flaw...everything from Oliver to Cats to Carousel to Les Miserables. Les Miserables is my favorite musical, but I still love this more (if possible) than the Les Miz Tenth Anniversary Concert because it includes so much more from the brilliance of the stage.

My personal favorites were "The American Dream," performed perfectly sleazily by Jonathan Pryce; Lea Salonga in EVERYTHING, she is SO amazing; and "One Day More," (The song never gets old, I came <This> close to COMPLETELY losing it).

In short, a must-see for anyone with a passion
