After quite a long time during which pretty much no movie made me feel anything, this one kind of made me keep interest very well, it was a bit all over the place but that is part of what made it so good for me. It helped connect you to the character, place you in his state of mind, sort of understand his frustration caused by what he was going through. The ending could have went a better direction I think, I don't want to spoil it, but it was still pretty good, didn't see it coming. So a good psychological SCI-FI with good performances from good actors, twisted and interesting. It gets a thumbs up from me.
This movie is just hard to watch. It begins well, mostly due to Mary Elizabeth Winstead who's basically the only good thing about this mess of a movie. I just found myself annoyed for no reason throughout. The main character is annoying, all the side characters are annoying, the camera work is annoying. It tries to be philosophical but it ends up just being plain stupid. Nothing makes sense, the explanations don't make sense, their actions don't make sense. The acting was mostly ok and the cast is surpsingly good for such a train wreck of a movie. It tries to be dramatic but it's just so hard to take it seriously, maybe somebody that really hates the rich would watch this and this it's ok just due to bias but otherwise... what were they thinking???
