Cillian Murphy when this movie relase, just one year ago get all the awards including Oscar for his performance in big budget Nolan movie - Oppenheimer.

When we expect after that spotlight, that success that he will accept some big budget movie to fill hic pockets, Cillian does a small budget and very passionate project with this picutre. The movie itself has some sad, gloomy, greyish atmosphere and story based on true happenings and events in Ireland.

It's a slow movie with no plot twist or exciting scenes.

The highlight of the movie is of course Cillian Murphy's amazing performance, he doesn't talk too much, but his actions, his persona, his eyes are telling much bigger stories and also brief but really good performance by Emily Watson.

If you are into slow burn Crime- drama- thriller movies/shows the type of True Detective's first season, Wind River and the last i remember was "Reptile" with Del Toro you will pretty much like this one too. First of all it's a true story and it's an ok story. What i like most about this movie is it's slow pace, good details, realistic scenes, gunshots, car chases, great great cast and amazing performances lead by Jude Law, great effort by all the supporting cast too and it's worth to mention beautiful landscapes and scenery and all the atmosphere from the 1980's.

Highly recommend for lovers of good cop/crime-drama-thriller movies because they are getting rarer and rarer.
