Disagree with previous reviewer criticising James Hollands involvement not even knowing who he is. Holland is highly knowledgeable and this was great to see the experts watching it and hear their genuine reactions. There is some amazing footage and lots of it is content which was not previously shown via military videographers. There is a real sense of the personal impact on everyday people who were both Jewish and non Jewish and how it affected them. It also gives clear insight into just how many everyday Germans were aware, particularly in the latter half of the war, the full extent of what their troops were doing to the Jewish population and the others they didn't like. Well worth watching 👍
This movie sent out some very dangerous and harmful messages around the topic of bullying. Having the main character say to the shooter who had been bullied that the kids giggling at him having his pants pulled down were simply 'happy' and that he should basically 'get over yourself' sends out a really bad message about the real genuine damage caused by bullies which is not just physical. The toll of the mental and emotional bullying can stay with you your whole life affecting every aspect of your life and how you interact with people and in work
A complete waste of a classic piece of art which will go down in tv history as the best tv series ever with the worst final series. All thanks to a decision to let two guys destroy the writing of George R Martin. This final series was poor but the final episode a complete car crash. The biggest shame and waste I think is that even if they got millions of names on the petition to remake it, they still wouldn't.
