Yesterday I watched this movie in Pay-TV - okay, it just happened because of Jessica Biel, and in two scenes... whoa!
The movie is a mixture of an usual Teenie-Lovestory and an usual Sports Drama. All of it you have seen a thousand times in other movies and when you watch the first five minutes, you know how this movie ends.
I'm rating it 5/10.

I've many friends, that say, German movies are bad. They don't seem to know "Das Boot" or all the Tom-Tykwer-Movies. And they will miss this great german movie.
Really great actors (perhaps Daniel Brühl is at the moment the best young actor, Germany has!) and a great story about a east-german woman, who fell to coma for 8 months in the late 80's and so she missed the fall of her socialistic republic. And when she wakes up, she's not allowed to know the truth. Her son now creates a small world, that still looks like the GDR and that's really funny. But after a few weeks he realises, that there seems no way out of his fake play.

The German regional-broadcast-station WDR has shown both "The General" and ODC. On Saturday I've seen "The General" and I thought, it wasn't very bad, but not very good too. But yesterday I've seen ODC and I switched it off after about an hour. Although Kevin Spacey was the main actor the movie was totally confusing and seems restless. "The General" told the story straight and ordered, but ODC just wanted to be cool. There is a reference on the Guy Ritchie Movies "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch", but doesn't have the Coolness of these movies.
So, in the end I would rate it 3 of 10!
