Very impressive!
Definitely not just a nostalgia act. Great episodes, excellent dialogue and interesting plot. When an episode ends, you simply can't wait for the next one to start. Fun, deep when it needs to be, full of action, gripping fight scenes, very well written characters, exciting storylines for most characters, modern animation but not like a bad video game cutscene, as many are. Definitely improves upon the 90s animated series, but truly respects it at the same time, as well as the source material in general. Amazing result, can't wait for the new seasons!
You can watch and enjoy it even if you haven't seen the old one, although it's definitely better if you do. Enjoy!

The series is fine, and helps the newer audience "live" this era. Really enjoyed watching it.
However, it has some serious flaws. It is very repetitive, and many of the current superstars give boring opinions that seem heavily scripted. Older wrestlers -especially the ones that were part of the war- say more interesting stuff.
Also, instead of every episode being devoted to a single superstar/team/whatever, i would prefer a chronological storyline. So, instead of having D-X and Mankind in different episodes, i think it would be better to develop both stories parallelly, because that's how it happened. That would eliminate repetition and would be better storytelling.
All in all, it is fun but it could be much better.
