I'm a UK viewer who watched in original version soundtrack with English subtitles.
This felt a little weak to start with in Episode 1 and was quite gritty and gory and I was questioning whether to stick with it. However, it quickly developed into a really excellent show.
The characters and the individual challenges that each of the 4 family members quickly became the focus of the drama with the life as paramedics / ambulance crew providing the backdrop to their stories.
Episode 3 to the backdrop of real life earthquake events was a very strong episode as were the final 3 episodes where the stories of each of the main characters reached climaxes. The ending was perhaps a little weak leaving lots of openings for a further season although I felt satisfied if there are any more episodes.
The social backdrop of the ambulance and medical services in Mexico is another interesting aspect of the show.

Season 1 got a 6* review from me. Neither loved nor hated it.
Season 2 kicked off in similar vein to Season 1 but with the madness of Paddy Mayne dialled up to 20. When denied a pass to his father's funeral he proceeds to smash the heads in of a group of innocent soldiers in the most violent fashion. Quite how someone as portrayed can lead an army regiment and get any respect from men or superiors I don't know. The violence and foul language continue throughout and I have no empathy for anybody.
I'll not be going any further with this series.
The series may just be a comic book depiction of events but the characters and their toxic attributes do seem to be glorified.

Quite enjoyed Season 1 - nice set of characters with some well known and talented actors. The story was maybe a bit silly but nevertheless engaging and overall this season was well worth watching. Season 1 would be a 6/10.
Season 2 - an almost entirely new cast for Season 2 and a totally new and unconnected story. The cast were generally pretty good but almost all entirely new to me. The plot however was pretty weak and it lacked the tension of Season 1. Made it through to the end but I'd say give it a miss. Season 2 would be a 4/10 - not entirely without merit but not something I could recommend.
