This show was my late wife's favorite show. I watched it with her and got used to the characters and drama and story telling. I think some characters are lives that are too complicated for my taste but I love the show. I also promised my wife on her death bed that I would continue to watch it for her!. This is what I have been doing. It is unusual for a show to still be on after 58 years. When the sow started I was actually 6. On YouTune I watched episodes 1 and 2 of 1965. Things and technology have changed since that time. I guess that to be going strong after so many years it is because fans love the show. Long live Days of our Lives.
Hippies from the 60s wreak havoc on board of the Enterprise. This is supposed to be the 23rd century and nothing looks like. The costumes and hairdos are to laugh about. The story is badly written. Acting leaves to be desired. The only good thing is it's been remastered but this is very little to save this show. Star Trek was my favorite show when I was going up as a young boy (in 1966 I was 7 and when it ended in 1969 then I was 10) but this episode kind of sucked.
Incredible story telling. Good acting. Good morals. Incredible special effects. Star Trek is back. Unfortunately season 3 will be the last of this series. What is unfortunate is that Star Trek Discovery destroyed the franchise as well as the movies by J Abrams who destroyed the timeline and the reasons of what Star Trek stand for exploration of worlds, lifeforms, the universe, ourselves as humans and what we can become if we believe in ourselves and forget our petty differences and unite instead of judging and wanting to destroy.
