It could be the first British Asian Film(OR of Large British Asian Representation), which was produced by the British film institute(yes before my beautiful laundrette 1985) Gathering as it was made during the mass migration of South Asians into Britain, they produced this film for those who found it difficult in adapting into Britain. A portrayal of an Asian immigrant experience, dealing with issues of integration, in the backdrop of industrial Birmingham. The Script was written by Dilip Hiro who has written articles, and books. I cannot find this film anywhere, or find anyone who has seen it. The BFI may have the may copy of the film.
