Some called the original a Star Wars rip-off, others called it a lighthearted, albeit, campy sci-fi tale. Either way, the Battlestar Galactica series has made an impression on people ever since it aired. Maybe its the hope that there's others like us out in space, or it's just a fun tale to watch. but the show had its flaws, ones that were transparent, and to some people, annoying. In 2003, the New Series (Abbreviated TNS) of Battlestar Gallactica gave of a different view on the same story. This story was raw and human. Its morality was ambiguous, leaving you hating people or loving them in a turn of an episode. It's cylons, given emotions and a quest beyond just being the original series' "rogue robot baddies." These new cylons, like the humans in the series, are all fleshed out and full of emotional drive.
This series has some of the best writing I've seen in the past 10 years in a television show. It's characters are 3d, filled with all the complex emotions you'd expect a group of people in there situations would have. It's writing gives us a feel of dread and dwindling resources. And even when we're sidetracked by sub stories in the plot, they're never unrealistic (No floating space casinos!) or campy. It feels like it belongs in the story, and has a purpose to be there.
This story is a very well written saga of humanity. Those who give it a chance will instantly be hooked by it's driven plot and it's excellent story. This isn't that old battlestar, this is a science fiction for a new generation.

Even though it has had a rocky start, Star Wars Galaxies has quickly grown into a massive game truly suited for the name Star Wars. you can pick from many different species, including Wookiees, Bothans, Twi'leks, Zabraks, Humans, Mon Calamari, Rodians and more. choose from over 12 different professions, and unlock the ways of the Jedi. If you want to truly experience the feel of living in the star wars universe, SWG is the game for you. You can run a city, hunt Rancors, take up bounties, travel the Jungland wastes, fight off Tusken Raiders, take missions privately from the Emperor Himself, help the Rebels try to destroy the Galactic Empire, and more! There's nothing that can describe the feeling you get as you travel through Mos Eisley's busy streets in your land speeder or carefully walk through the now desolate Massassi temple on Yavin 4. I recommend for any Star Wars Fan to play this game
