Zeatrix's rating
I've enjoyed most MI movies to date, with the exception of MI:2. But for me, the over the top story could have been reduced by at least 30-45 min without losing quality.
But my biggest problems was the, even for MI movies, way too many unbelievable situations that demanded a huge dose of willing suspense of disbelief. It's hard to understand that the excellent Fallout movie has basically the same crew.
The villains, both the entity and Gabriel were far from villains of past films (Philip Seymour Hoffman being an excellent villain, RIP).
Some stunts were of course impressive, as should be, but they do not make up for the rest of the films flaws.

I watched a preview showing and before one of the producers explained that this is a saga set in well known Stockholm locations but with chicks in high heels and guns.
The acting was sometimes bad and drew some laughs from the audience, but overall it the acting was OK. The movie is obviously not realistic and it doesn't pretend to be. There were a lot of memorable characters but no real character development, except maybe for the son of a shipowner.
The references to other great gangster or mob movies like Godfather and Goodfellas are obvious but the movie doesn't try to be like them, but to pay homage to them.
Overall an OK film with some funny moments.
