  • Could have been better

I think the title says it all. Now admitedly I played this after playing SW:KOTOR which could possibly have altered my judgement. I consider KOTOR one of the best games ever made and when i came to playing JK:JA I guess I expected more of the same. As you can tell I was dissapointed. The Pros. Its star wars and its got completely cusomizable lightsabers which I really consider a pro as that was one of my favorite aspects of KOTOR. The light sabre combat is compelling but in the end for to random.

The Cons. Well the voice acting is terrible, far worse that JK:JO and is a shame as I really expected more from a SW game. The Plot is as see through as a peice of glass. The Quake 3 Engine is really showing its age now so the graphics were really lacking. The gameplay itself I found far to easy, even on hard I flew through most of the levels in the game without dying once. Im not trying to say its a bad Game but it "Could have been better".

  • One Kick Ass Zombie Movie!

Enthralling, Enjoyable, Scary, Suspencful and Humerous all great words to describe DOTD 2004. I cant say I was a fan of the origional, while the premise was fine the execution was poor. But thats enough comparation as the director himself said this is not a scene for scene remake its a completely different movie. And I would have to agree, aside from the zombies and the mall there is nothing else linking this to the origional.

The Film itself top notch, It keeps your attention from the beginning and dosnt let go until the end of the credits (DO NOT LEAVE THE CINEMA OR STOP THE FILM UNTIL THE CREDITS HAVE FINISHED!). The acting is also first class. Ving Rames Shows shows how underused her has been in the Mission Impossible movies (Something that will hopefully be set right in MI:3). While the rest of the actors put in an equally convincing performance.

The Special Effects both Physical and CG are fantastic and beyond what I thought would have been possible on such a low budget movie.

I cannot fault this movie in any way as hard as I try.

  • Johnny Depp pulls off another excellent performance

When I first saw the trailer for this film I was unconvinced as to be honest It didnt really explain the premise very well. After it had been out a week I decided to watch it. And I have to admit i was pleasently surprised.

Johnny Depp plays a writer called Mortimer Rainey who like many proffesional writers lives away fro the city to concentrate on his work. One day a man calling himself shooter appears at his door telling him that Mort had stole his story.....this is how the movie starts off and then soon after a rears off in a direction that i didnt imagine at all.

The only downside was that the ending, to me was fairly predictable from 2/3rds of the way through the movie. But it was still interesting to see how it played out.

Johnny Depp shows us all again what a great actor he can be no matter what role you put him in.

I would reccomend this movie to anyone, but especially people who like me thoroughly enjoyed Identity.
