I expected worse, judging by the rating. And knowing what films these two main actors star in, I thought the rating wouldn't lie much. But it looks like I was wrong. Especially considering the year of the film, it's made quite well.
There won't be any strong fantasy, acting, or other elements of a really good movie... but this is a pretty good middling movie that has a right to exist, unlike the huge amount of crap with crazy graphics or a STAR cast that is being filmed nowadays. Give this movie a chance, watch at least the first 20 minutes. If you don't like it, you can turn it off. If you're still watching - why not... it's not the worst choice of movie for the evening.

If you evaluate the series as a whole picture - it is a very beautiful and interesting story, with its dark and funny moments. With well-written characters, a deeply developed World, the mechanics of magic, pleasant music and so on. There are some small minuses here and there, but in general, where are they not? I gave it such a rating not because of these minuses, but because they add up to a couple of other major minuses that I really don't like in games/books/movies/cartoons: stupid banal cliches, like expected unexpectedness, "pianos in the bushes" and other things. There is more than enough of this here, unfortunately, so the overall cool impression is greatly spoiled by these moments.
This is a phrase in my homeland. In this context, it can be used approximately like this: the newer the year of a Western cartoon, the fewer normal examples there are. You can count the good ones by the fingers of one hand. And I am not even talking about the depth of the plot, but rather about the production inside it, graphics, dialogues, or motivation of the characters. I am also horrified by the fact that there are so many people who defend such works. If you are not particularly picky about the quality of a movie or cartoon and you are satisfied with "chewing gum for the brain" - please, this may occupy you and you may even like it, but for others I do not recommend it at all.
