Lindsay Lohan, Ed Speleers, and Alexander Vlahos in Irish Wish (2024)

  • So much Botox...

Seriously the only good thing in this movie is Lindsey Lohan's hair! Don't get me wrong, I love a touchy feely romance every once in a while, so my rating is not for a lack of interest in the genre. The idea is unoriginal, the acting is at least poor and no face except Ed Speleers' seems to be moving. Lindsey Lohan's acting is awkward and neither her face nor her co stars' Alexander Vlahos and Elizabeth Tan seem to convey any feelings.

Although I'm a huge rom-com fan and see them for the feelgood flicks that they are in this case I got nothing. It feels very cold and distant and failed to give me the cute romantic feeling.

They gave 7 Oscars to what is basically a crossover between Disney's "Brave" and "Rick and Morty".

Milking the meme culture of our age that makes anything meme-able or gif-able automatically successful.

It is just an opinion but I don't believe that being absurd makes you funny, or that hot-dog hands and butt plugs are original and clever sources of humour.

The only thing that it got accurately was how noisy the mother - daughter relationship is and how most of the time it doesn't make sense. But, again, a Disney film can do that too, it's nothing groundbreaking and definitely cannot "save" the rest of the film.
