  • Full of tears

The movie is full of tears.

This is a typical Taiwan movie. The plot is very simple. You can imagine the whole story right from the beginning. And tears never stop from the beginning to the end. (I think the director wants to sale the tissues.) In fact, people there are all not bad guys, and they could have a peaceful life. For examples, Qiu Xia could live with her son in her ex-husband's house, at least for some time. But they just 'refused' it.

The most shinning point is the little boy, around 5-6 years old. He played very good.

Suggestions: All About Ah-Long (Chinese title:You jian A Lang), which is from HongKong, performed by Chow Yun-Fat. The plot is much better than this one, while the little boy also did a good job.

This is an old movie. Watching it today, I give it 6/10.

  • One of the best HK movies!

This is the first time that I write comments on IMDB, although I visit the website so frequently. Since I highly recommend this movie to you. This is one of the best HK movies, and also my favorite.

The script and performance is so great, impressive and touching. CYF was not only an action star. The little kid also did a great job. The entire movie is a masterpiece. I have to use my tissues every time watching, especially in the ending (No other movies touch me like this ever).

Please don't forget the song "Ah Long's story", it's also my favorite, performed by Sam Hui.

9/10. Since the wonderful song, I give it 10/10.
