The names Hemsworth and Freeman got my attention. Then the Prime Video score suggested it was worth a try. However, 10 minutes into it I realized I was tricked. This movie is just awful. No kidding. It's bad! The fighting scenes are about a five out of ten. The rest was just bad acting and off-sync sound effects. They threw in a nude bar scene to try and spice things up. The closing song was Amazing Grace. Can you believe it? So much of this movie was bad a script. Everything was so contrived. The Young boys acting was the best part of the performance. Hemsworth had the right look, but he just lost it with all the bad Fight choreography.
I QUIT! This is the fourth episode and thankfully the daughter is gone but the rest of the show is just awful! It is nothing like the original series which simply means my expectations were way too high. I've got to think that those people that are rating it above a 3 have never seen the original series.
I'm embarrassed for Timothy Olyphant. They use him as a piece of furniture. He has hardly any lines, and he seems awkward in all the scenes. He lacks a commanding presence and all but a few members of the cast are over acting so much that every scene is out of balance. Everyone on the show thinks they're the star. Everything is so loud.. the facial expressions, the dialogue, the background noise, ect. That it's impossible to follow the poorly written story line. It's hard for me to believe that anyone cares about any of these characters at all.
I so wanted this to be a great spin-off, but it isn't. It's just a poorly written and performed extended pilot. No resemblance to the original justified series at all. I quit!
