Everything, and I mean *everything* is wrong with this movie. When terrible mic positioning, inconsistent audio levels, awful editing, crap wardrobe, no discernible story, and horrendous acting all come together in a perfect storm, this is what you get. Unfortunately, I've seen worse (the true one star films), but the list is short. Skip this one, unless you need an example of how *not* to make a movie.
Anyone with pockets deep enough to produce a film with a $75M (or more) budget, should - no *better* be able to make a pretty darn good film. Now, try it with a budget less than 5% of that, and see what happens. What happens in the case of this film, is that you get a competent cast, more than decent effects, and an entertaining story. Now, *that's* filmmaking.
D.B. Sweeney is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Put him in scenes that involve a brawl or (multiple) interactions with Danica McKellar, and it looks and feels awkward.
Otherwise, the story is cookie cutter stupidity, and the creatures are only marginally better than those in rubber suits.
