A story of questionable parentage and untold secrets.
This was obviously shot on a budget. While I don't often mind a slow moving story, there is so much filler with shots of Vegas, pictures of postcards, and long shots of people walking, staring out the window smoking, or not talking to people that were it all removed, the brisk 1 hour and 19 minute film would be a mere 30-40 minutes.
There are some odd choices mid movie where the shots are in infrared or have introduced classic film errors (like reel stutter, or damaged negative feel) that don't add anything to the story and feel as though they were additions to show that they could do those effects.
I didn't hate the story. I wasn't offended by the acting. I just wasn't overly impressed with anything. The title of this review pretty much sums up my feelings.

Filled with 70's references and a fun soundtrack. I particularly liked the minion cover of "You Can't Always Get What You Want". While the story was weak, there were enough chuckle moments to make it worthwhile.
I particularly liked the Vicious 6's Belle Bottom. She reminded me of a young Pam Grier.

I watch a LOT of movies. And being older than 50, I've been watching a lot of movies for longer than most people. What that means is that I've seen a lot of Nicholas Cage. I've seen the good (Raising Arizona, Birdy, and Adaption for example), the bad (Season of the Witch and Left Behind to name two), and the weird (Wild at Heart and Willy's Wonderland come to mind). This movie is a love letter to them all.
Sure it is a bit over the top, but what good Cage performance isn't? So don't take it too seriously. But do kick back and enjoy the spectacle.
