I saw the pilot and really liked it. I'm pretty sure the network didn't think that they had a hit on their hands when they gave the green light for Tru Calling but that is exactly what they've got. Eliza Dushku is amazing in the lead and definetly one of the best looking women on tv. The supporting cast does a good job also, I perticularly liked the brother's character; the gambler rebel. Give this show a chance, it has a really good premise and a great cast.
Whoopi is surprisingly a very funny sitcom. Considering former big screen stars Television shows sucked (Bette, The Gena Davis Show). Whoopi actually has me laughing out loud every Tuesday night. Most of the comedy is based around ethnic houmour, but no one is safe, blacks, Arabs, whites, and Russians....but since everyone gets their turn at being picked on it isn't really offensive. Whoopi Goldburg does a good job as a grumpy hotel manager. And their is a great supporting cast as well. The Arab handyman is one of the funniest on the show along with Whoopi's brothers girlfriend who is a female version of eminem. Good show I give it an 8/10
Leprechaun is no work of art by any standards, but definitly not one of the worst 100 films of all time. While it has a paper thin plot and would be better suited as a children's film (aside from a little gore). I first saw this film when I was about 14 years old and I'm not ashamed to say I liked it. Call me crazy or a bad critic, but this film was entertaining. Anyone who went into this movie ready to take it seriously and expected a good scare, well come on? a 2 foot tall leprechaun isn't scary no matter what the circumstance. Warwick Davis' character was entertaining though. The rest of the cast are a bunch of no bodies besides a very young Jennifer Aniston. The acting is that of a low budget horror film but then again, if the shoe fits? I think this is one of those films that have camp value, instead of sitting around complaining about plot holes, unrealistic situations and what not. Sit around and have a good laugh. Appreciate the movie for what it is.
