What could have been a good idea failed miserably with this utter dross. None of the actors had any charisma, one stewardess looked as though she had dressed for a soft porn movie and the other looked old enough to have worked for Amy Johnson. The acting from some of the passengers was laughable and Nigel's English accent was cringworthy and why were the passengers not told to brace when landing? As with previous reviews, there are so many gaffes, goofs and general cockups which make this film farcical. And the whole story is meant to tell us that this flight brought RADAR to the war effort and the British?
Better kate than neve, I watched The Resident and, despite other reviewers slating it I found it excellent. I then watched New Amsterdam expecting the same and found it inferior despite reviewers saying it was better than The Resident. I was looking forward to Pulse and after 5 minutes I thougt what on earth is everybody raving about? The characters are uninteresting, the constant heartbeat and breathing that takes over whenever when Dr Danny Simms is stressed out is irritating as is the subtitles whenever characters talk in another language. Its utterly boring, soulless and impossible to engage with. A series has never been more disappointing.
Season One was somewhat enjoyable with a plausible storyline. The fight and violence scenes were a little over the top and quite honestly, the way some of the people were beaten up and thrown around, there is no way they should have stood up again! The season had a satisfactory ending. Season Two went completely rogue. The storyline is bizarre, disjointed and the constant foreign dialogue resulting in subtitles is aggravating and totally unnecessary. The second season has totally lost its way and one has to wonder what the storyline for season three will be. What was once a good series has gone sour.
