Remember that time you left your baby with your cousin and they and their friends got stoned out of their minds and thought it would be funny to see what would cause it to die faster: starving or drowning in its own waste? And then they decided that wasn't a good sample, so they took over the nursery wing of a nearby hospital to do the same experiment on all the infants there? Or how about that time someone decided to lace the punch at a kindergarten party with LSD because they thought it would be funny to see a bunch of toddlers freaking out on bad acid trips? Or, how about the time they decided to dose every drink at a frat party with ruffies to see who ended up in bed with whom?
If any of these scenarios sound at all funny to you, then by all means, enjoy this fine comedy product. If you are not stoned out of your mind or are over the age of 6, then this will likely not appeal--by kindergarten, these antics should no longer be amusing to you.

This show was actually really good and had overall good ideas for updating Spidey and his world that still hold up. Sure, it's stylized and kiddie-friendly, but most Spider-Man is. Besides which, the writers still managed to throw in some more complicated ideas. It's a pity this didn't get to keep going, because I'd have been interested in seeing what else they came up with. Some characters were named but never used. Some were actually on screen but never had any lines. No, this was the perfect balance of how the world would look to a teenager suddenly given great power and responsibility. Too bad it was ended before being properly finished.
Within ten minutes, you'll know who did it and why. It's so bloody obvious that even a CSI 1 could have solved it in minutes. While a little more interesting than most of the stories, the science is still way wrong.
In the episode's favor, Penny and Beau, the only actually remotely interesting characters, get a few minutes in the spotlight. Sadly, those same scientific stupidities also make the characters seem like jerks, and their superiors are turned into utter jackasses.
Honestly, why was this show ever made? Clearly someone wanted to harvest the nostalgia for the original series, but didn't know how to cast, how to write good stories, or what made the original show actually good--it wasn't the relationship soap-operas; it was the weird but actually believable cases. Stories didn't need to be bloated out into 4-21 episodes. In fact, most of the really good episodes had 2-4 stories each, and many of them were unrelated beyond taking place the same day.
Hopefully the people responsible for making CSI:Vegas the disaster that it is won't get any future work in Hollywood.
