  • Most unappreciated kids show!

Scream Street is a fantastically swelchy, sticky, slimy and spooky treat for youngsters. The stop motion animation is great, with the characters and backgrounds packed full of detail. My 3 year old daughter is a big fan of monsters, and the show is a great companion piece to a book like 10 Little Monsters. It reminds me of something like Trap Door from my own childhood, unafraid to be weird and even a little scary, without featuring anything that would give parents cause for concern (as long as you're okay with farting goblins and zombies who lose their heads and have pet eye worms).

The focus is a trio of young friends: a werewolf, an Egyptian mummy and a vampire, as they balance the day to day mundanity of school and embarassing parents with battles against brain- stealing demons, giant spiders and a corrupt mayor whose meddling greed often triggers the latest monster-centric crisis.

It's gloriously imaginative stuff. Give this show more love!
