This film has such a great concept it's a shame it was done in such a bad way as this. To sum it up in a sentence, it's a bit all over the place.
The actors are fairly good and the storyline starts off quite strong, but around half an hour into the film and I really don't understand what's going on.
The camera angles are meant to mirror those used by camera men, but this technique is badly executed as there are many instances when it would've been impossible for the crew to know where the character's were going to go next. The cameras also seem incapable of filming any of the actors faces for a good part of the movie when they first arrive at their mental hospital.
Most of the characters have had numerous mood swings and pointless exchanges and many of them just disappear from time to time without anyone realising.
The actual plot gets a bit messy towards the middle when an attempt is made to develop certain characters and the "spooky" goings on and ends up down-right silly at the end. A lot of previously mentioned events just get left behind without any further explanation.
If you want a good horror then this isn't it, in-fact, I don't even know what genre to class it as. It's 70% anger/arguing 25% faffing around and 5% "horror".
Please don't waste your time with this film, you'll become as bored as those who directed it did and simply want to just skip to the poorly rushed ending.

Last year there were very few films that I found that funny, mainly because a lot of the humour was American.
This British film gives a refreshing look on the romantic comedy and has a simple yet interesting plot.
Both main actors are brilliantly suited to their characters, but it is mainly Stephen Merchant who gets the most laughs - kind of stealing the show really. It's not a perfect film, it's a bit predictable in parts, but not boringly so.
Definitely worth the watch!!
(Just don't watch it with your parents)
