  • Mildly thought provoking

I have to say i wasn't really ever bored watching this movie but i must admit this mockumentary genre has really run the gamut at this point. Based very loosely on an apparent you tube video depicting the actions of an ELF-like animal rights vigilante organization, the story line attempts to convince the viewer that certain ridiculous scenarios actually coincide with reality. This is the kind of movie that if you go into it looking for reasons to pick apart a low-budget production you'll find them. Having said that i think this movie would have faired a lot better to have developed the characters a little better and spiced up the hunt with a few more surprises. I kinda felt like as soon as i got into it, the ending credits appeared. I felt the beginning and ending were decent, it was the rushed middle content that kinda let me down. Overall not terrible but could've been better.

  • Very well done all around

Given the current genre of Horror movies out there i watched this movie with out any lofty expectations and almost purely based on the reviews of the many others who seemed to have a favorable opinion of it. Add the fact that the budget used to make this film was minuscule and i truly felt that i was about to be hoodwinked. Not at all. I was locked in from beginning to end and was very pleasantly surprised. Definitely one of the more suspenseful horror movies i have seen in a while. Now having said that, this is the kind of movie that requires your full attention and while the movie provides enough interest to captivate most viewers, I admit i had to watch it again after seeing the ending. I did so without hesitation though because it was an enjoyable enough of a movie to do so. I don't know anything about making films but i would think something has to be said about a director and a cast that can make such a decent film with so little. Easily worth watching!

  • Total waste of time

I don't know how anyone who has actually seen other movies would call this a movie with great acting. This movie is clouded with sophomoric scare tactics and so much melodrama that it was actually way more humorous than scary. I wont even address the ridiculous plot but i would like to thank the other reviewers on this forum who have referred to this as a great horror flick that "requires thought." It does require thought in the same manner that reading a Peanuts comic strip requires thought. There is nothing complex or creative about this film. I was hoping that this would turn out to be one of those hidden gems that somehow missed the popular audience and for the first 10-15 minutes there seems to be just enough promise to keep the viewer locked in. It quickly spirals from there however and manages to commit enough tacky plot drifts that it becomes impossible to forgive. Ultimately if your looking for an intelligent horror flick with decent acting keep looking.
