Although the technical aspect of each episode being one long scene is certainly a noteworthy achievement, what makes Adolescence great is the story and the acting. In fact, the story and acting is so gripping, that you sometimes forget that you're watching one uncut scene!
It was interesting to see the aftermath of a crime through the eyes of the perpetrator, and the impact it had on the people closest to him. By shifting the focus from the victim to the perpetrator we see another side of a tragedy, one that is not usually explored in such dramatic detail,
A truly gripping story with superb acting from everyone involved.

The series gets off to a good start. The first half of the series is quite interesting and intricately builds up the characters and story.
Unfortunately, in the latter half of the series, you are just constantly waiting for something, anything, to happen. A lot of time is wasted without the story progressing at all.
The ending also felt anticlimactic, and few of the questions you have regarding the timeline are ever answered, leaving a lack of closure.
The acting is just okay. Lee Jin-wook is good as the main, but the other actors could use a few more acting classes. The chemistry also comes and goes.
The only thing I really enjoyed was the soundtrack. The music and sound design works really well in the background.

The finale to Bulgasal is very disappointing and anti-climactic. It feels like the writers completely gave up and just pieced together something random. Instead of an intricate backstory, it feels like a few separate scenes that were edited and then stitched together on the cutting room floor.
The actors also feel as if they are tired of filming this series and just want to go home. The chemistry they had in earlier episodes has completely disappeared!
I did not expect anything grand or elaborate, but this was just uninteresting and makes the entire buildup to this moment feel like a waste of time.
