  • Guns Kill Not People

The message of this film is that guns kill, not people, and in this case it is the wielder of the gun who wants to displace his own guilt by tracing the origins of the damn gun. It is what I would call an morality unplay, a guilt displacer, an exercise in self-deception. It's an op-ed for gun-confiscation. Agenda driven propaganda. Thumbs totally down.

  • Talk like humans, please

I hate movies where the people talk fast and sound like they have marbles in their mouths. I had to turn on the subtitles to be able to understand most of the dialog. Maybe some people really talk like that. I don't know them.

  • A fun look at family interaction.

This is a cute little story, very believable, about a child manipulating her parents, via contract, into keeping their promises to her, and to be better parents to her by essentially sticking together.

Little Mia goes to a lot of trouble to make breakfast for her parents. Tickling feet and a bull horn are involved in the process of rousing them. You can tell the coffee left more than a little to be desired.

All of the things she suggests are what a kid would think of to make people happy and to take things to another level - from Froot Loops to tickle fights to little surprise gifts. A joy to watch this little short.

I liked Carly Adams in the thriller Emilie (2015). She only got to show a little humor in that film. I think humor is her niche when it comes to acting. I hope to see much more of her.
