  • All these years later, and this movies still feels relevant

It's truly astounding how well this movie has held up over the years. I have re-watched many movies, some not nearly as old, and they feel dated. It really makes me think how genius this movie is, the special effects, set designs, and the aliens are masterfully done. Was it the lighting that helps protect the realism? Also one of the few times a sequel is as good as the original, the movies are very different, Aliens being more of an action move in my opinion.

I really just wanted to highlight my thoughts on this movies longevity and relevance. Certainly one of those movies that you always stop on when flipping through the channels, only a handful of movies fill that bill for me :)

  • Really enjoyed this one ..

Wow, first off I'm not a hard core racing fan, and can't speak for the historical accuracy of this mini-series. I will say this, I really enjoyed watching this series.

The racing scenes were well done, it looks like they mixed in actual race footage, which was well done. Everything from the story, character development, cinematography, and overall flow of the story worked for me. As with many great athletes, his relationships were impacted with his racing obsession. Sadly, he had no children.

As is stated previously, this is worth a watch, and interesting to get into the head of an elite race car driver.

    Enjoy.

  • Great show

Not sure how this flew under my radar, but this is solid show, and worth a watch. Seems to be more realistic than most shows, down to earth, covering the missions, and the private lives of those involved.

Great balance between action and the emotional challenges that comes with the job on a personal level. The development of the characters is quite good, a wide range of characters each with their own unique issues. The acting is good in my opinion, not overdone, which lends to its sense of realism.

If you any interest on what navy seal deals with on and off the job, do yourself a favor and give it a shot you won't be disappointed :)

  • Tough crowd here on some of these reviews

This show started a bit slow, but as it went on, I appreciated it more and more. It's probably more like 7.5, but I rounded to an 8 due to some of the ridiculous reviews. I think there are those that like action shows and those that don't, I thought the action sequences were well done.

Definitely worth a watch, it may not be a world beater, but a nice watch for action fans. Not sure what the plan is on this one, one season and out, or if they could somehow spin another season out of this. Tough to say. Glad someone is willing to make action / thriller shows like this and Tom Clanc'y Jack Ryan.

  • Interesting comments on this show .... I watched Legacy before the original

Bosch series. I thought Legacy was good, certainly good enough for me to go back and binge watch all 7 season of Bosch.

I never had a big issue with Maddie's acting, there is a certain quirkiness to her character, and assumed that was by design. Can she carry the series without her father, I'm not so sure. Regardless, the show is entertaining, and their father / daughter friendship is touching.

I hope they continue to put out more seasons of Legacy :)

  • Fantastic!

John C. Reilly absolutely amazing, hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

What more can you say about this show, just a alot of fun, regardless if it isn't necessarily accurate. A truely unique project, not just for basketball fans. So glad to see someone willing to tackle something like this, and make it so entertaining.

Did I say John C. Reilly is amazing?

    Enjoy.

  • Very suprised, a Batman movie that doesn't feel over the top.

I was taken back by this movie a bit, I would not consider myself to be a huge fan of anything DC or Marvel for that matter. I've seen most of these movies, typcally only once.

Several things about this movie impressed me, for instance, it felt more believable than most movies in the genre. I didn't feel Batman's gadgets, cars and other were over the top. Furthermore, really nothing had that over the top feeling, Catwoman was played brilliantly, again, her persona seem real and down to earth. Same with the Riddler, brillaintly played.

Like other Batman movies, it had that element of darkness, however, I really felt this version took it to another level, which reminded me of "The Joker" movie. The darkness felt authentic, and even creepy at times.

The movie may not be the most action packed, but this rendition really didn't need to be. Kudos for taking a risk, and doing something a bit different. I also like that it wasn't about trying to jam as many mega movie stars into the movie, this is not necessary, as with other movies in this genre, you sometimes feel like they are trying to out do each other.

    Great soundtrack as well.

I definately will see this movie again, which is saying something.

  • I enjoyed it, chances are

You will too. Sometimes you can't make everyone happy, this movie is entertaining, with some surprises, and great cameos without being cheesy. I'm excited to see it again, ignore the haters. I did think it bounced around a bit at times, but not enough to ruin the the overall experience.

  • This movie is underrated IMO

I have seen this movie 3-4 times, and enjoyed it every time. As some have said, the plot has been done many times before, however, not typically with a female vigilante. Garner is great in the role, action sequences are solid, she is believable and brings emotion to the role. Not sure what others were expecting, I'm glad they still make action movies like this.

  • I could care less about Marvel or Thor, but this was a good movie.

I went in with little expectations, to be honest, I figured it would be more of the same. The casting for this movie was very good, loved Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett and Tessa Thompson. Movie has a solid plot, great action, great humor, and above average acting. Kind of has that Guardians of the Galaxy comedic aspect to it.

Worth a watch, and believe me I'm not up to speed on everything Marvel, but still was presently surprised.

    Enjoy :)

  • This movie is NOT for everyone, if you appreciate off the wall movies

like Airplane or Naked Gun, or to reference something newer, Zoolander. This movie is silly, and often over the top. I'm glad movies like this are still getting made. They may not appeal to everyone, but some of us like to sit down and watch a movie that is just plain stupidly funny.

If you like movies like this, you will definitely find the humor in this movie, and please continue to support movies like this.

Personally, I thought this movie was great, the first half was exceptional, the second half was good enough to keep me watching. Sure it made little sense, but sometimes life doesn't either.

    Loosen up and enjoy:)

  • Funny movie, may not appeal to everyone ..

To me this movie is truly a classic, however, you have to like to comedies that are raw, and some may say childish. This is in my top 10 with SuperBad, Office Space, Anchorman, Talladega Nights to name a few.

I must say it has incredible repeat viewing qualities, which to me, separates the good comedies from the great ones. If you like any of the movies above, you may be pleasantly surprised. I think it's even more appealing to techies, as the story revolves around a video game development company. Not sure why this movie doesn't get the props it deserves.

The music music soundtrack is good also.
