Well covered documentary on what has lead us to the modern Aircraft Carrier. Many interesting details on how life has been affected by war upon the sea. The sad cost in lives and the strive to protect them.
Watched first time as an adult and loved every second of it. Watched with my daughter and we enjoyed it twice as much. Captivating story of emotion, mystery and adventure.
Of course we are spoiled with million dollar special effects that makes this movie hard on our taste buds. Some of the costumes are obviously low budget. . But I thought it was well scripted and realistic (not in effects) in how things would go. I expected cliche and pleasantly surprised when characters did what was logical. Even when the maiden screamed in the middle of the road at the dragon I thought CHOMP - but what a surprise. One character receives training and the results are quite realistic. Every battle had me wondering if the group would lose someone. And well you will just have to see. Perhaps because it was low budget they where able to keep true the story instead of depending too much on effects.
Some call this a Live Action Roll Playing, but what movie is not roll playing? And the actors did a pretty decent job of it. Yes, quite pleased with the acting.
I say give it a try and If after 15 minutes move on to something else if it does not capture your interest. I caught me and I was well entertained never knowing what was around the bend. Now I am waiting for the sequel.
