  • Excellent movie, unlike the rubbish that comes out of Hollywood

The timing of this movie, is quite poignant considering that India is facing similar issues today as they did in 1971.

It is refreshing to see that good movies are still made, albeit not in Hollywood.

I watched this movie while on an aircraft crossing the Atlantic. Normally I watch movies to help me fall asleep - but this one kept me glued to the screen for the entire movie.

The story could have been more detailed, but considering that Sam Manekshaw´s career lasted 41 years - I suppose you cannot go into minutae.

The movie starts off with Sam Manekshar as a young man in the military academy that was still run by the British back then.

It then gradually moves on as India progresses as an independent nation. The most interesting part that we non Indians probably never think of was that not only did India get divided into two nations so did the army. Military personnel had to decide whether to stay in the Indian army or join the Pakistan army - it is doubtful that former colleagues and friends knew that one day they would become enemies.

Sam Manekshaw, however, was one of the few that prpobably foresaw this scenario which enabled him to successfully defend India in the 1971 war.

The cinematography is excellent as is the case with most great Bollywood movies. There are some original clips which gives it elements of a documentary - but i think they managed to weave it in well and it adds to the movie.

    Wonderfull movie!

  • A bunch of eccentric clowns making a show

I cannot say that I ever was a fan of SNL. On very rare occasions they have a nugget that is actually funny. That said, since lot of great comedians got their start there I was intrigued.

This movie is snapshot of the hours leading up to the debut of Saturday Night Live. It shows all the chaos and disorganization that was going on behind the scenes as well as the egos and eccentricities of the actors that would become world famous. Assuming that the movie is factual it is a miracle that SNL ever took off.

It also shows, what has become apparent to most people in the last few months, that the majority of actors are irritating and annoying. Most of them are a bunch of eccentric dummies and this movie reinfoces that.

  • Endless dribble

Endless dribble about a subject that only very few still care about.

To say DB Cooper is the most famous person and the one who uncovers his identity is the second one - is just dumb. Nobody in our generation cares about this nonsense.

  • Dreadful

While the scenery was nice everything else about this movie was dreadful.

Probably some of the worst actors that have ever been compiled into one movie .

Apart from Lynn Gilmartin, none of the other actors could...well act - no chemistry between the characters no interesting dialogue - nothing.

  • Horribly boring as only Apple TV content can be

I will preface this review by saying that I really like Jason Sudekis and that's the only reason I started watching the show.

Much like the Morning Show, Ted Lasso had the potential to be a good series but IMO both fail to deliver. They are both long drawn out and very little happens in terms of anything. Ted Lasso isn't really a comedy it's more akin to a drama that is as boring as if it were filmed in real time. Nothing that keeps you wanting to see this series.

  • Another one....

We all know what happened during the holocaust. How many more movies, remakes and re-enactments do we have to endure? At least come up with new material, since it is getting boring seeing the same stuff over and over.

  • Low budget, OK

This is a fairly low budget film and it definitely shows. The acting is OK for an amateur project but probably not something that should have been screened on Amazon, although I have seen considerably worse on Prime. It's silly and entertaining but a waste of time nevertheless.

  • Excellent

With everybody thinking they can produce or direct a movie nowadays the quality of movies that show up on the streaming media is very bad. It is not unusual to watch 20+ abysmal movies before you find a gem like The Banker.

This was one of the most enjoyable movies I have seen in a long time, despite it's somewhat sad ending. The story revolves around a pair of black bankers that buy a bank in Texas with a white front man. All three main characters did an excellent job, and similarly, the cinematography and sets transported you back to the 60's.

This was definitely a story worth telling and I am glad that it was made into a movie. That said, it is also sad and shocking to see the injustice committed by our own government against these entrepreneurs.

  • A man and a phone

Interesting concept in the same genre as Cast Away in the sense that it's performed by one actor. The movie is entertaining albeit a bit drwan out. The really annoying thing is the constant whining when he starts piecing things together. Other than than that it's worthwhile watching or at the very least listeining to.

  • Not that good

As a general rule, I don't like Will Ferrel movies, I find his over the top acting annoying and simply not funny. Elf was no exception. I watched Elf because it was hailed as the best Christmas movie of all times, I don't agree with that at all. It did have some cute elements that would have made an enjoyable film, but the annoying antics of Ferrel didn't work for me. But clearly I am in the minority - so there is that.

  • Good story about corrupt officials

This movie is based on a true story and illustrates the what happens when you have corrupt people in positions of authority. It is well worth watching as a lesson in history of what can happen when bad people get into positions of power.

This movie is a prime example that having a good cast and a good director does not guarantee a good result. The movie is boring without essence and a poor story line.

  • Endless jibber jabber

I really wonder who thought this script was movie material and more importantly who was the numb scull that gave the thumbs up to make it into a movie?

The script is terrible, and to add insult to injury 3/4 of the audio features a crying baby just to make the movie even crappier that the dull script would on it's own.

To sum it up, it's 2 hrs of pure boredom that even fast forwarding can't cure.

  • High School Visual Arts project?

This movie looks like a project done by a high school. Well, that may not be entirely fair as I think they would have done a better job than this crap.

The acting is atrocious, the dialogue is horrid and the special effects are even worse. Netflix you can do better than this.

  • B&W seriously???

I am all about black and white photography as a medium - but making a movie in our day and age in B&W is not artistic, it's just plain stupid and annoying.

I watched a 5 minutes before giving up, seeing the beautiful Cote d'Azur in black and white rather that the color it deserved was too much.

  • Not bad, but kind of pointless

All in all this is not a bad movie - the acting is fine and so is the cinematography. But this kind of plot has been done ad nauseam and it's nothing new - so essentially it is a waste of time given how much selection there is these days.

Move over Gigli, there is a new sheriff in town - John Henry is without question the worst movie I have ever seen. The storyline, the acting, and the cinematography are all a masterpiece of crap. The storyline is too pathetic to go into. But it just goes to show that using a good actor doesn't necessarily yield a good result.

  • Utterly boring

Both Anniston and Witherspoon are good in their roles, but yet the series lacks something that I cannot put my finger on. Perhaps it's the continuous rambling on so that you feel you are experiencing the whole thing in real-time or perhaps it's just mundane. While I find the "Matt Lauer" story on whom I presume this is loosely based interesting, it could have been accomplished with a 2-hour drama - not a whole season worth of episodes - the content simply isn't that interesting.

  • Poor Cinematography

There are very good documentaries about nature, unfortunately this isn't one of them (eg Evolution 4K). The cinematography is lacking at best, essentially a compilation of amateur videographer clips spliced together and supported by music that does not flow well with the scenes. There is no narrative and all you do is look at an assortment of incoherent water related scenes.

  • Dreadful

I am baffled that Netflix would subject its audience to this kind of low budget rubbish.

The script is boring and without substance, the main theme of the movie doesn't start until the last 20 minutes of the film. The main theme, i.e. the crash and events leading up to it, were rushed and offered no details on how the crew handled the issue - I certainly hope that the Dana crew were a little more proactive than these two. The pilot uniforms looked like they were made by a toddler, the epaulets looked were yellow tape glued on top of black tape - really?, the director couldn't be bothered to borrow some epaulets or even a uniform from a line pilot. The whole thing is amateurish. Any High School film student or Youtuber would make a better film than this abhorrent junk.

The usual kidnapped wife and daughter genre and the good guy turns tough - but just in an awfully boring format. I like Luke Goss but this movie really sucked. I don't think there is much else I can add to that.

  • Financial meetings in Europe

This movie essentially is about the financial meetings between Greece and the European creditors. Unfortunately it seems like it is in real time and you are a silent watcher privy to the meetings - which in this case is not a good thing, since it makes the movie incredibly boring.
